"Serving DESPITE Circumstance"

When the Lord first placed the vision for our ministry on our hearts - we had no money, no decent car, no fancy clothes, trials and tribulations GALORE (as we still do!lol) only now we have had even less, yet been Blessed by the Father with even more - not only in His taking care of our EVERY need dispite impossible LOOKING circumstance but through those hardships by Him blessing us with increased faith, compassion and spiritual maturing...As you search YOUR hearts and strive to serve HIM and bring HIM glory - be ready and willing to step out of your comfort zone and tell people of HIS greatness and also help others in HIS name (not only in SPITE of your facing difficulties but actually and ESPECIALLY because of them!). Be willing to GO where HE wants you to; DO what HE desires for your life and BE what HE has called you to be - not what makes you feel safe, or comfortable or happy but what is pleasing to HIM!!! Remember we can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us - That with God ALL things REALLY ARE POSSIBLE. Don't listen to your family, friends, naysayers about what you can or can't do when it comes to what The Lord has placed in your heart to do - Even your own self-doubt and insecurites must be put down - remember to "capture EVERY thought"... As far as having nothing and trying to give to or help others in YOUR time of need - we have NEVER been so Blessed (in many ways) than we have when we have put others first and most of all SERVING GOD first, despite our calamaties (and there have been MANY)! So - we encourage you to STEP out of your comfort zone, THINK out of the box and PRAY!!! for His guidance and His will and then, procrastinate NOT ('cause I was BIG on that one, let me tell you!lol) and go DO IT - Just SERVE HIM!!! In MARK 12: 30-31 JESUS SAYS: The most important commandment is this: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as YOURSELF.' "There is no commandment greater than these."!!!

LORD, I ask that you help me in my walk on the path that YOU choose for me. I pray for Your guidance, Your will, and Your help and protection in EVERY WAY! Please give me boldness merged with peace beyond understanding as I reach out to this world in the ways You've asked - to SERVE YOU, to BRING YOU GLORY and TO HELP THE HURTING AND LOST IN YOUR NAME! Please be with me every step of the way as I step out in FAITH - please help me to THINK the way YOU want me to, to DO things when YOU want me to and in the WAY YOU want me to! I DO love you Lord and want DESPERATELY to SERVE YOU with all my heart, with all my mind, with all my soul and with all my strength - in times when you've Blessed me and in particular in times when circumstances (in the natural) are seemingly impossible! Help me to be your hands and feet because with YOU, Lord, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE and I am SO THANKFUL FOR YOU!!!

ONE DID - HIS NAME IS JESUS CHRIST...AND WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HIS HANDS AND FEET SINCE HE GAVE HIS UP FOR US!

DON'T BE FOOLED INTO THINKING "WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP - TO CHANGE MY WORLD - I'M INSIGNIFICANT - I'M JUST ONE PERSON..."

JESUS HIMSELF SAID IN JOHN 14:12-13: "I TELL YOU THE TRUTH - ANYONE WHO HAS FAITH IN ME WILL DO WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING. HE WILL DO EVEN GREATER THINGS THAN THESE BECAUSE I AM GOING TO THE FATHER AND I WILL DO WHATEVER YOU ASK IN MY NAME SO THAT THE SON MAY BRING GLORY TO THE FATHER. YOU MAY ASK ME FOR ANYTHING IN MY NAME AND I WILL DO IT."

WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE A LAMP ON A STAND- A CITY ON A HILL - TO OUR NEIGHBORS, OUR LOVED ONES, OUR CO-WORKERS AND EVEN THE STRANGERS AROUND US (SAVED AND UNSAVED). WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE - NO, MUST BE - AN EXAMPLE AS A PARENT IS CALLED TO BE TO A CHILD - AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT BEING CHRISTIAN OR CHRIST-LIKE REALLY MEANS. MANY OF US WOULDN'T EVEN GIVE UP A MOVIE OR DINNER OUT MUCH LESS A SECOND VACATION OR A REMODEL IN OUR HOME TO HELP SOMEONE IN NEED! WE NEED TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES! WE TEND TO GIVE UNTIL WE FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT - NOT UNTIL IT HURTS AND REQUIRES SACRIFICE (IF NECESSARY).

IS JESUS PROUD OF HOW WE ARE LIVING OUR LIVES IN HIS HONOR...WITH GRATITUDE FOR HIS TREMENDOUS SACRIFICE? HOW CAN WE AS CHRISTIANS BE CONTENT WITH SO LITTLE SACRIFICE IN OUR DAY-TO-DAY LIVES WHEN HE SACRIFICED SO MUCH?!!

BE A PART - THE PART GOD MEANT FOR YOU TO BE IN HIS PLAN - IT IS TIME FOR CHRISTIANS TO CHANGE - CHANGE FOR CHRIST!

AS WE WORSHIP THIS WEEKEND IN REMEMBERENCE OF HIS SACRIFICE....LET US PRAY:

“LORD - IN REMEMBERANCE OF ALL YOU’VE DONE - IN HONOR OF ALL YOU ARE - PLEASE USE US AS YOUR INSTRUMENTS - FOR YOUR CHURCH TO WORK TOGETHER IN HARMONY AND BE A SYMPHONY OF LOVE TO THIS HURTING WORLD AROUND US! LET US BE THE SYMBOL OF YOUR LOVE AS THEY FEEL AS IF THEIR WORLD IS CRASHING DOWN AROUND THEM - LET YOUR LOVE BE MUSIC TO THEIR EARS! PLEASE HELP US TO HELP THEM IN YOUR NAME TO BRING YOU GLORY AND TO BRING THE LOST TO YOU THROUGH YOUR SON JESUS!!!”

The eggs are dyed, the hunts are planned but the Easter Bunny - he’s not the man
Our superhero - the star of the show, well, His name is Jesus Christ you know!
The eggs are not the treasure and the candy is not the prize
The true treasure lives in our hearts - and it’s time that we realize…

The meaning of Easter is special - it’s so much more than THAT
More than picnics and beaches and candy and pretty easter hats!

He suffered and died to save us - He loves us THAT much you know!
It’s only because of God’s gift - His SON - that to Heaven we will go!
He paid the ultimate price - to give us eternal life!
So remember HIM at Easter - and with God your heart will be right!

THIS WEEK - Remembering God's MERCY; REMEMBERING His SON, JESUS and His sacrifice; Remembering ALL of God's promises!!! THIS WEEK.....I am THANKFUL!!! "DEAR GOD, I PRAY THAT I REMEMBER AND AM THANKFUL EVERY WEEK and THAT I SHOW MY GRATITUDE FOR THIS MOST PRECIOUS GIFT BY TRULY LIVING EACH WEEK FOR YOU THROUGHOUT THE YEAR!!!! IJN! AMEN!

HOPELESSNESS

When things look impossible and you feel all alone - I can "vouch for GOD"! I can tell you from personal experience (we've been through 2 hurricanes, 8 surgeries, mild autism, separations, addictions, homelessness TWICE, the loss of 8 close loved-ones in less than 10 years, and the list goes on...
If you TRUST GOD and run TO Him instead of away from him in despair or anger when things get tough - you will find out how tough HE is and how tough YOU CAN BE with His help! Things may look hopeless 'til the last second but if you strive to put Him first and ask for His help and have COMPLETE faith in HIM - he will see you through - sometimes it may be at the last minute - ('cause everything is in HIS timing - NOT YOURS) but He will come through in the end and He will use what was meant for your harm for GOOD! So for all of you going through a tough time right now - hang in there - HE loves you and wants nothing more than to help you and we love you too!!! - God Bless! -

Matthew 14: 29 - 31: Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"

In this passage it teaches us to realize and remember that when the storms of life come and things look impossible, the only way we will drown is if we don't hold on to and trust in the Lord - If we have faith in Him He will NEVER let us drown!!!

Dear Lord!!! PLEASE hold our hand when we step out trusting you during the storms of life! We ask that you give us peace beyond understanding despite any and all circumstance. Even though things can often LOOK impossible in the natural - we trust COMPLETELY in You Lord - Your WISDOM, Your POWER and Your LOVE for us - Your children!!! IJN - AMEN!!!

We pray that the lyrics give you a lift if you are going through difficult circumstance! (we have definitely BEEN THERE and STILL ARE but God IS good ALL THE TIME!!!

"Worship"

We've been pondering recently about true Worship - It seems like the Lord has made us LIVE the songs we've written, etc. - like "did you really MEAN what you said or were you just trying to make it sound good"...So this past week or so, the Lord has really touched our hearts and made us realize: So many times in corporate worship, we sing cause it's a catchy tune or because it makes US feel good when we get caught up in the emotion of singing to the Lord. Are we really singing to please Him or is it more that it feels pleasing to US?? How many of us sing "blindly" in many cases not TRULY grasping the meaning of the words we are singing...and then, ultimately, singing those words on Sunday but not truly trying to LIVE them out on Monday through Saturday! I encourage any of you that can make the time to look up and read or maybe even print out the lyrics to the songs you sing at church each week (ahead if you are told what songs they'll be doing or after if not)...Study them and pray for the Lord to help you REALLY see their meaning and feel not just the emotions of the music but the truth of the words that you sing to Him!

Dear Lord: "Please help us to better understand the meaning of the words we sing to you and help us to see what TRULY pleases YOU (as opposed to us) and help us to "LIVE OUT what we SING OUT" every week"!!! IJNWP - AMEN!

May God Bless you as you do this and draw closer to Him and His will for your life!!!

LORD WE LOVE YOU WHOLEHEARTEDLY
AND WANT TO KEEP YOU FIRST.
YOU TAKE CARE OF OUR EVERY NEED
AND QUENCH EVERY THIRST!
WHEN NOTHING’S GOING RIGHT
WE TRUST AND HOLD ON TIGHT
TO THE PROMISES YOU’VE MADE TO US IN YOUR WORD!

YOUR BOUNDLESS LOVE IS UNCOMPREHENSIBLE;
YET WE FEEL IT EVERY DAY
YOUR MERCY, PLANS AND PROVISION FOR US -
PERFECT IN EVERY WAY
WHEN WE THINK THINGS LOOK IMPOSSIBLE
YOU CAN FIX THEM IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE
