Seers and Prophetic Worship

There is a lot that transpires in the spirit realm when we worship, that cannot be seen with the natural eye. Seers are prophets that have the ability to see or hear what is transpiring in the invisible realm as the Holy Spirit permits. Seers were involved in the worship at David's tabernacle.

1 Samuel 9:9 (Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a SEER.)

Heman was a SEER who was involved in the worship of David's tabernacle:

1 Chronicles 25:5 All these were the sons of Heman the king's SEER in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

The worship in David's tabernacle was set up by Gad, King David's seer, and Nathan the prophet:

2 Chronicles 29:25 And he set the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad the king's SEER, and Nathan the prophet: for so was the commandment of the LORD by his prophets.

Worship creates an atmosphere for the spirit of prophecy. Prophets and prophetic people thrive in the atmosphere of worship. Prophets can function as worship leaders, psalmists, and minstrels. They release prophetic sounds and prophetic songs that bring deliverance, healing, restoration, and refreshing. There are also prophets who operate as seers.

Seers have the ability to see into the spirit realm, and then declare what they see. When seers are involved in our worship they see what is taking place in the spirit realm while we worship, and as a result of our worship.

Seers have seen angels, smoke, fire, rain, demons, horses, armies, thrones, jewels, judgments, colors etc. They can declare what they see to the congregation and encourage the saints to act on what they see. This results on great freedom and breakthroughs. Seers have also heard sounds of thunder, rain, wind, trumpets etc.

We need to make room for Seers in our worship services. Let them share what they are seeing or hearing and help believers understand what is taking place in the spirit realm. Any believer can see if God permits, but Seers are proven prophetic ministries that are recognized by the leadership of the church.
