Below is an excerpt from chapter 5 "Praying for Spiritual Intimacy"

 from "Pray Big for Your Marriage":

 

• Pray that God will give you and your spouse one heart.  Pray that you'll be on the same page when it come to your relationship with God.
• Pray for spiritual intimacy.  Ask God to creat an environment conducive to true spiritual authenticity.
• Pray that you and your spouse will both know the Lord.  Pray for moments of spiritual insight, spiritual conversations, and joint worship in your marriage.
• Pray every day that God will be the Lord of your marriage.  Name yourselves as his people.  Claim him daily as your God.
• Pray that you and your spouse will constantly seek his presence and power in your marriage.
• Pray for protection from distractions and temporal tangents that would keep you and your spouse from seeking God.  Pray that you'll seek him with your whole heart.
