Scripture Memorization

At our first meeting I shared the different ways I have maintained the verses I've memorized or tried to memorize verses.  I've used index cards held together with binder clips or index cards hole punched on one corner and held togethre on a key ring.  I've also used a little index card "binder." Kind of like a three ring binder, but with two rings and and sized for index cards.  It even has dividers.  There are also index card notebooks you can find at any office supply store.

But the Navigators have a cool "verse card holder" that has always been my favorite method for storing and carrying my verses around.  Conveniently it holds the cards that are found at the back of your book.  You can see the case at the link below:

What I like about this is that it is small and easy to carry with you.  So when ever you have spare time, on line at the bank, waiting for your kids after school, or at a doctor's office, you can pull out your pack and review your verses.  It has a clear plastic compartment on the front where you can put the current verse you are memorizing so you can easily see it, and there are two pockets inside where you can store other verses.   Navigators also sells blank cards that fit in this case.  So you can make up cards with whatever verses you might want to memorize.

But whatever you use, it's important that you find a method that will work for you.  I find I need to write out a verse and then read it out loud to myself to be able to memorize it. You may want to write it out on mutiple index cards and put them all over you house.  Like the bathroom mirror, by the kitchen sink, near your computer where you work... Whatever will help you review the verse regularly until you can commit it to memery.

Any other suggestions?  Please share...
