A recent flyer for the National Discipleship Conference is disturbing from the inaccuracy of language.  We need to be careful of the language and definitions we use.  On the flyer in question it is stated that "Music and worship provided by ...".  Worship from a biblical basis is giving worth to and can be found both toward God and toward other gods.

For the Christian, worship is between the individual and his God and can be done in the heart and may be expressed verbally for the edification and encouragement of the saints (see 1 Corinthians 14: 27-35 for common restrictions).  Worship cannot be provided by someone else.

When we are speaking about Bible topics we need to be using biblical definitions.  To do otherwise is to cause a muddying of the speech and misunderstanding to the unbelievers.  Go back to the use of "born again" for everything from cars to environment.

So for a nationally announced advertised conference to tell us that someone is going to provide the worship takes us beyond the place each one of us has to function as a priest.
