I find this idea very interesting. I would say no to self-promotion, but I would say yes to making the message as powerful as the God we are ambassadors for. I believe that when we speak, we ourselves should be humble, but the message that we speak should be, no MUST BE, the very words of God to the people that hear it.
Be it face to face or by media, if I personally offend others, then I have failed. But if my message is offensive, then that is the hearers choice.
