REFOCUSING

For years, much of my calling through Reimagine.Network has been to provoke pastors and ministry leaders to think differently—to ask uncommon questions, reconsider assumptions, and rethink how we think about church and ministry.

That remains important.

But I increasingly see the next step:

From offering thought-provoking content for pastors → To offering guided pathways toward renewed mindsets that equip and empower leaders to facilitate change in their church and ministry.

Not simply:

“Here is something worth thinking about.”

But increasingly:

“Here is a pathway you can pursue—and then use to help others think, pray, discern, converse, and change together.”

That changes how I think about who Reimagine.Network is trying to serve.

 

JESUS' RELATIONAL RATIOS

Jesus ministered among people in remarkably different relational settings. His example reminds me that formation, leadership, and mission do not happen at only one scale.

1:1 — PERSONAL

Jesus repeatedly gave focused attention to individuals: Mary, Nicodemus, Zacchaeus, the Samaritan woman, Peter, and others.

Question: Who are the individuals I am called to walk with deeply?

 

1:3 — INTIMATE LEADERSHIP

Jesus sometimes drew three disciples especially close—to pray, witness, listen, and experience what the larger group did not.

Question: Who needs to be close enough to pray, discern, challenge, and dream with me?

 

1:12 — EQUIPPING LEADERS

Jesus called and equipped the Twelve to learn his way of life and ministry and eventually carry the mission forward.

Reimagine.Network: facilitators • teachers • pastors • small-group leaders • ministry-team leaders

Question: Who can I equip not merely to receive the vision—but to facilitate it with others?

 

1:70/72 — MISSIONAL MULTIPLICATION

Jesus sent a larger group of disciples out in teams.

They were no longer simply listening to Jesus. They were participating in his mission.

Question: How can what we are learning move outward through people who can carry it into other contexts?

 

1:120 — A FORMED COMMUNITY

After Jesus’ ascension, about 120 followers gathered prayerfully as they waited to know what God would do next.

They represented something larger than a leadership team: a faithful and hopeful community prepared to move forward together.

Question: How do renewed mindsets begin reshaping the culture of an entire congregation or ministry community?

 

1:5,000+ — THE CROWD

Jesus also taught and ministered to large gatherings.

Large audiences mattered—but they were not the only way he formed people.

Reimagine.Network: conferences • church-wide gatherings • newsletters • websites • podcasts • social media • public teaching

Question: How can broad communication become an entryway into deeper pursuit—and help identify people ready to influence others?

 

THE INSIGHT

   The 5,000 may hear the message.

   The 120 may begin to embody it—together.

   The 70/72 may carry it outward—beyond barriers.

   The 12 may become equipped to lead it.

   The 3 may help discern, sharpen, and safeguard it.

And sometimes one life deeply changed becomes the beginning of everything that follows.

 

So perhaps my calling is not simply to reach more people.

It is to create different depths of engagement that help people move:

from reader → explorer → participant → facilitator → catalyst.

 

And it suggests another progression for how Reimagine.Network itself can serve that journey:

content → pathways → facilitators → catalysts → culture change.

Reimagine.Network can speak to the crowd.

But its greatest contribution may be providing guided pathways that equip the 1s, 3s, 12s, 70s, and 120s to facilitate Spirit-led, Scripture-fed transformation where they live and lead.
