A Conference for Christians Who Seek to Alleviate Poverty: The True Charity Summit

Lord willing, the Christian organization True Charity will hold their fifth annual True Charity Summit this spring in Springfield, Missouri.

Their website describes this event succinctly as follows:

A conference for churches and nonprofits with poverty alleviation programs.

It also says the following about it:

The True Charity Summit is for anyone involved in poverty alleviation efforts. Most of our attendees come from nonprofits and churches with benevolence or outreach ministries to the poor.

Your charity can do more than help a person get by.
Your charity can help individuals, families, and communities flourish.

We'll have three days [April 3–5] packed full of inspiration, education, and connection with like-minded poverty fighters seeking empowering, impactful charity practices.

True Charity Summit attendees have the opportunity to explore several tracks of education covering topics such as effective program design, strategy and outcomes, innovative charitable models for churches and nonprofits, fundraising, development, and more. With dozens of sessions planned, there is something for everyone.

Don't miss the premier conference for nonprofits and churches with poverty alleviation programs! Registration is now open!

I learned of this conference from an e-mail message I received from Disciple Nations Alliance (https://disciplenations.org/). Here is an excerpt from that message:

Today, we want to make you aware of an upcoming event being held by one of our affiliates, True Charity. They have a great story of how the Lord changed their approach to helping people after they realized that their efforts in serving people were not resulting in long-term changes. You can read more about that on their website.

Sometimes people ask, "How are these biblical worldview principles being applied in the United States?" True Charity's work in the U.S. provides great perspective in response to this question. They use a worldview-based approach that is transformative for the people they are serving.

A manager at DNA has told me that I may share this discount code, which affords a 10% discount on the price of a ticket: 24SummitDNA.

True Charity's website contains much more information about the summit, including how one can get an even bigger discount, how to apply for an attendance scholarship, and opportunities for ridesharing. It also contains a short video about the event.

May God richly bless this event, enable His church to extend more effectively His love, mercy, and grace toward the poor, and cause both her and them to flourish, for the sake of Christ and His kingdom, to His praise, honor, and glory, for ever and ever.

The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.
The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, and he hath set the world upon them.
—I Samuel 2:6–8 (AV/KJV)

     Amen.
