The core of the Great Commission (the only verb in the imperative!) is "make disciples!" I believe Jesus had in mind what one of His mature disciples might look like - Himself. We are called to become like Jesus... in character and in deed. We are to grow up in Him. The call of the Church is to see followers of Jesus grow in Him and be Divine Appointments - not simply pray for them!
