Every Man's Battle

I've read the book Every Man's Battle By Stephen Arterburn, Fred Stoeker, Mike Yorkey. I've found a lot of really helpful tips and advice in it, but yet I feel like the book focuses a little too much on my effort and "purity techniques" and not enough on the power of the Holy Spirit in my life to help me overcome something that no mere mortal man can overcome on his own in his own power. Anyone else read this book? What was your impression?
