My wife and I are in the midst of a divorce. The final court date will probably be within 10 days or so. We negotiated the "Marital Dissolution Agreement" yesterday in the lawyer's office and after we signed it I felt like I was making the biggest mistake of my life. I am in a tremendous amount of pain. For my part I know I was not the husband I should have been and my mistakes were many. But since last summer God rescued me from a bad place and I have been going through an amazing process of recovery and spirtual renewal. After my wife filed for divorce last August for a long time I was in a state of shock then prideful anger that she would do such a thing and I felt too paralyzed to so or say what I probably should have said. I am at a place now where I believe I would be ready to do the hardwork necessary to reconcile with my wife but I fear it may be too late for her. But I know God loves us both, his heart breaks over this divorce, and he would help us do anything to restore our love for each other. Maybe it is not too late for a miracle. Please lift my wife and I up in your prayers. Thank you very much.

I am so sorry Christopher for what you are going through & the pain you are experiencing. surrender your marriage to God and ask him to restore your marriage. And ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit to respond to your wife (or ex if divorce goes through) by the power of His Spirit and not by your human responses (reacting by emtions). Ask Him also to guide and direct. I will be praying in agreement and will also pray for your wife and her response. We can't control other's actions but only ourselves. You will have to let go of your wife and let God. I don't know if he will restore your marriage but I have seen him do this even after divorce is final. Seek Him daily and draw strength from Him. He will see you through no matter what happens.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.-Jer 29:11
Father, please surround Christopher and his wife with your peace and love. Restore in them the love you once gave them. Intervene for their blessing and for your honor.
Praying for you and your wife, Christopher -- grateful for how God is working in your life, trusting Him to continue the good work He's begun (Phil. 1:6), entrusting your marriage into His hands and loving care . . . Whatever you do, let me encourage you to keep your eyes on the Lord, for He is God and He is good . . .
