He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Father, we pray for those who would do us harm - for those who have set their minds and hearts against you, whose eternal destiny is separation from you. Raise your hand of power to bring them to repentance, just as you did for Paul on the Damascus Road. Bring your judgment on them - not a judgment unto death but one that will bring life as they realize that you are the One True God. Raise up your church in prayer and forgiveness, and may your grace shine through your people so that those who are far from you are drawn to you through your Son.
