I encourage you to check out Marsha Mundy's group on Prayer for the World - there are several discussions in there related to different areas of praying for the world. I also started a group several weeks ago related to praying for the United States - the group has a discussion on resources for praying for the country as well as a prayer blog from the "As One" prayer campaign.
