We asked God to give you an expectancy of hearing directly from Him as you read this issue ofIGNITE. I encourage you to listen carefully for what God may be saying to you in the midst of your current circumstances. As I fly back from Memphis my heart is full with the joy of our King Jesus! This past week I have seen how I have been the recipient of God’s strong support through my precious Bride, even when I did not listen to her council. Why? I define a Prayer Igniter as one who passionately pursues intimacy with Jesus out of which flows a PRAY NOW lifestyle. One of the greatest areas of prayer need is right where we live, in our marriages and families. I often will hear prayer requests for some kind of family crisis and will ask: “Are you and your spouse praying out loud together about this matter?” Invariably the answer is “No!” Andrew Murray and fellow South African says it like this:

Possibly you have lost hope for the answer to a long held prayer.
Maybe the prayer is in your distant memory, just like this cross in this picture is outside the reality of what is right in front of you. Just be still and let The Holy Spirit bring to remembrance His desire to answer your prayer: Let us PRAY NOW! “Lord, I thank You for reminding me of this long held, yet unanswered prayer, forgive me for losing hope of You answering this prayer. As I read these testimonies to answered prayer will You refresh my belief in the promise of Your Word in Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
PREGNANT FAITH BIRTHS NEW LIFE
A Pregnant woman knows she is going to have a baby! I love using this as a picture of what it is to have “Expectant Faith” and this is what the Lord gave me in a number of situations on my recent Madrid and Wales mission trip. I want to share just one story that was so exhilarating I nearly flew home on the wings of The Holy Spirit I was so fired up, not needing a plane!
Before leaving Houston with the WoodsEdge Elders Team led by my dear friend Pastor Jeff Wells, God had given me expectancy for salvation on this trip.
I got to share my testimony and the gospel of the Kingdom a number of times but had not seen salvation come! It was my last day, the 11th hour literally heading to Heathrow airport in my Avis rental car. I turned in my free upgraded Passat Station wagon. (An answer to Debi Tengler’s prayer) and waited to jump on the bus to my terminal. I’m at one of the world’s busiest airports mid morning on a Friday and I am the ONLY ONE on an Avis bus, one of the busiest rental car companies. “How great is our God!” Was this a God set up or what? I have greeted the bus driver and am kneeling on the floor next to him at the front of quite a big bus and within minutes I expectantly ask my favorite question: “Sir, if there was one thing I could pray for you, personally, what would it be?” In his heavy Yorkshire accent he says: “Oh my goodness no-one has ever asked if they could pray for me before!” I discovered his Muslim family was from Persia (Iran) but he was born in the UK. Now Muslims pray a lot and I have never had a Muslim refuse prayer. Shourak was no exception although his first request was just “Health”, with a few gentle encouraging questions about family he said: “Well if I am very honest we do have a bit of a family situation”, which he then explained and I briefly prayed into that explicit request. As often happens when You ask God to engage in someone’s life Shourak opened his heart and said how good he felt now we had prayed and began to express that he had wanted to start studying about other religions.
GOD OPENS SHOURAK’S HEART
Hello, hello hello, here God has given me a perfect opportunity to proclaim the gospel of The Kingdom. God honored our space and somehow Shourak parked the bus in an out of the way place at my terminal and we had another 10 minutes together in which I clearly shared the message of Jesus & salvation by grace not works. I explained the differences between a relationship with God through Jesus and the works mentality of Islam. The Holy Spirit brought understanding to his heart as I demonstrated how he might pray acknowledging and repenting from his sin and surrendering his life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. God still further protected our space and sensing a readiness asked Shourak if he would like to pray with me to give his life to Jesus! He willingly agreed and he prayed following my lead and came gloriously, joyfully and wholeheartedly into the Kingdom of salvation! “Thank You Jesus!”

IGNITE THE FIRE OF CHRIST’S LOVE IN YOUR HEART
SEIZING THE MOMENT!
Expect God to Ignite His Fire in you!
Precious Saint, do you believe God desires to bring His Kingdom presence through your life, in ordinary every day situations?
YES! Of course He does! So resist the devil if you are thinking any other way! (James 4:7) God continuously creates Divine Appointments just for you! Be watchful and alert and seize hold of those appointments!
I share a few recent fire-igniting vignettes with you, praying God will encourage you to:
So I’m in the Kroger’s queue with a few groceries; I look across to the other isle to see which is moving faster. “Just SLOW DOWN” I sense the Lord nudging in my heart as I see the teller is someone I have prayed with before but cannot remember her name.
The Lord is so good! In that moment she turns slightly, I see her name badge and greet her clearly and joyfully: “Theresa! How are you!” In that very greeting the fire of God’s love bursts into flame and 8 people standing around those tillqueues, (that is a line to most of you) pause and are listening when Theresa responds: “Oh I need prayer!” “How can I pray for you dear Sister?” “For my finances and children.”
So looking at her and watching the eyes and faces of the congregants of the new Church @ Kroger that God had just ignited, I prayed briefly: “Oh Father, thank You for Theresa, as You draw her heart to seek You first would You provide for her every financial need and bring her children close to You in Jesus name amen.”
I see agreement in some of the faces and in a few others there’s a question like: “What just happened here? I feel good inside but what is it?” Well the Lord immediately opened another Divine Appointment as I saw the man checking out, right in front of me, with a pretty full cart and I say: “Wow Sir! What a huge bag of tomatoes!”
“Yes I have seven children and they eat a lot of food!” He says in quite a strong accent. We talk a little more and as the teller rings up the total I hear the Lord saying: “I’d like you to pay for this man’s groceries.” I kinda twist my head a little to see how much the total is, the flesh part of me responding: “Well I could put $20 maybe $40 towards this, but that was a big cart full, Lord!” Of course I cannot see the total and I again hear the Lord:“Just trust Me, Son!” I whip out my credit card and the man very willingly allows me to pay his $92 grocery bill. He is very grateful and heads on his way. God uses this random act of kindness to impact the hearts of those witnesses around us. As I go out to my car there is the same man parked right next to me and over the next few minutes I get to pray for God to bring him a better job, share the gospel with him and give him a bible from my car! It was amazing and as I drove away, I was singing and praising God with great joy, Chkk-Chirrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

As my Sweetheart and I prepare to leave on our 28th “Honeymoon” to The Grand Canyon and the “O” Show at The Bellagio, in Las Vegas, we are pregnant with the expectancy (Not a new baby) of God’s promises being activated in and through our lives. Chkk-Chirrrrrrrrrrrr and all glory to our King Jesus!

NEW DOORS OPENING THROUGH MY PROSTATE CANCER JOURNEY
I’ve wrestled a little with sharing this update on my prostate cancer as at first I drew into isolation! Isolation can often be one of the enemy’s subtlest, yet most debilitating weapons of attack. Will you just sit back for a moment and do a spiritual MRI of your life.
Like me, there may be something in your life that the enemy is causing you to keep hidden or isolated.
On May 7th I had my 3rd annual prostate biopsy at MD Anderson where I have journeyed in their active surveillance protocol over the past 2½ years. Without getting into technical details, suffice to say, that I have just edged out of the biopsy scale range to stay in the “Active Surveillance” protocol and am booked to see the wonderful surgeon (He leads medical missions to Africa) that I saw 2 years ago. His physician’s assistant called me last week, saying: “I will never forget you Mr. Millar!” that was from 2 years ago and it was not about me but the Kingdom of God that was at hand immediately I lifted David before our King in prayer, that he remembered!
AS WE ACKNOWLEDGE THE LORD IN ALL
OUR WAYS HE IS DIRECTING OUR STEPS.
Many of you have prayed for healing for me, for which we are deeply grateful and please keep praying!
We continue to take the next steps of faith in this journey on the unseen BRIDGE OF HIS PROMISES. We also praise God for the 40-50 lives at MDA who’ve been impacted as they have responded to my simple question: “If there was ONE THING I could pray for you personally today what would it be?”
THE ENEMY FLEES! LIFE COMES
AT THE PLACE OF DEATH.
We can see God explode His love through a tiny detail of obedience like this week when in 12 hours I had three appointments “no show”. I always like to express joy and grace, by saying from my heart in faith that God’s delay is for the greater way! At the 3rd time, though, the enemy nearly got under my skin with frustration as I drove back home down Woodlands Pkwy!

Open the eyes of my heart, to hear and obey what I hear You say, in Jesus name I pray amen.”
I sense the Lord urging me to write IGNITE about my recent trip to Israel but want to encourage you that even though Israel may not be an area God is speaking to you about I believe He totally wants to draw you closer to Him in prayer and can use these stories to do so!
God Taps His Conductor’s Baton while on The Sea of Galilee
The Lord used Jamie and Donna Winship to unite in Israel an eclectic group of 42 anointed servants of God from 3 nations and 7 states. On our 6th day together God engaged our hearts as one with Him on a Sea of Galilee sunset boat ride. During our tour and project days with The Jewish Agency for Israel, tributaries of The Holy Spirit sprung forth in new friendships as we shared stories, testimonies and in prayer together. Then suddenly on the boat, as one Pastor from among us began
to share the Word of God about the disciples on The Sea of Galilee, it was as if we were translated 2000 years back and literally the storm winds began to blow, lightening lit up the darkening horizon and we were mesmerized by the “Tapping of The Conductor’s Baton!”

As one body, we began to worship on the water with the word and The Light of The World shone forth among us! They were eternal holy moments shared amongst us as we were caught up by the wind of The Holy Spirit knowing that Jesus Himself had walked on these very waters.
Hearing The Voice of God
There are three voices we can hear:
Depending upon where our level of intimacy with God is, our own voice can line up with God’s if we are walking closely with Jesus but just as easily our thoughts or inner voice can align with the enemy if we are falling short in our communion with God. The enemy hates it when we pray because the very activity of talking to God puts the enemy to flight! James 4:7.
Another way of discerning whether a thought or idea is from God is to ask: Does it line up with The Word of God?
An English leader in the 24/7-prayer movement described it like this. If you are in a discussion or in prayer and an idea comes up it can sound like a “Good Idea”. Then several days later in a totally different set of circumstances someone else raises the same “Good Idea”. When this happens the third time one might begin to say this could well be not only a “Good Idea” but, a “GOD IDEA!”
So As You Read This Story Could It Be A “ GOD IDEA” To Grow Your Prayer Life?
