Guidelines for Book Reviews

*   Post your review at Discussions (Reviews & Interviews)
*   Please write a fair and balanced review (we are not looking for a "commercial" for the book nor a harsh criticism)
*   Use the template as a guide for your review - please respond to each section.

Template Guidelines

• Subject: Type the title of the book and the author into the Subject box
• Text Box:
  • Title
  • Author
  • Publisher
  • URL link to the publisher's site that lists this book
  • Then, a few sentences or a paragraph on the following: 
    • What was it about this book that interested you?
    • What is the basic idea/concept/purpose of this book?
    • Write about several topics presented by the author (describe author's views before you...
  • ...share your observations/perspective (agree/disagree, strength/weakness, like/dislike)
  • Write abut something the author included that inspired/instructed/equipped you
  • Who would best benefit from this book?
  • What additional information should potential readers be aware of?
  • Conclude with 2-3 questions for those who read your review to respond to in the comment section
  • Upload a photo of the author and/or book cover
  • Link to the publisher's site for more info or ordering

I cannot seem to make the template tag work. It only takes me to a blank white page, on which you cannot write. What now?

Thanks for responding. I keep being sent to the Guidelines and Discussions page. At the bottom of the guidelines for reviewing books is the following: "Tags: book, feedback, guidelines, review, template"  I assumed that clicking on the template tag would take me to a place to write the review. However, it just takes me to a blank white page on which you cannot write. 

I just need to know where to write the review. Do I put it in the reply box at the bottom of the discussion page or is there an actual template in which to write the review?

Thanks for clarifying if you can. This is getting frustrating.

Go to Resource & Book Reviews discussion:

Click on ADD+ ...

Then fill in book title on the Subject line then write or paste in your review.
