Precept (Principle)
Isaiah 26:4
Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength.
Promise (from God)
Psalm 125:1
They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
Prayer (to God)
Psalm 141:8
Mine eyes are unto Thee, O God the Lord: in Thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.
Take each Precept and Promise and Prayer and pray them back to the Lord as one prayer

No! You need to trust the God WHO IS strength.
Read this day’s Devo. Do you hear the subtle difference in how we are encouraged to pray about strength?
We DO NOT pray to the God of strength to GIVE US strength. No, we are trusting His strength. We are resting in His strength.
This is a lot more difficult to do than it sounds.

Lord, we trust in You because we are weak. Help us to remain in You.
2 Cor 12:9 But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.
