An Invitation to #ReCenter Christ: 2026

An Invitation to Pastoral and Ministry Leader Colleagues31050172297?profile=RESIZE_584x

God's amazing race and peace to you.

I write to you not with a program to adopt or a strategy to implement, but with an invitation to consider a shared journey for the coming year.

We are calling this invitation #ReCenter Christ: 2026.

At its heart, this is not about doing more for Christ—or merely learning more about Christ—but rediscovering life with Christ at the center of our lives and churches.

Many of us sense it: faithful activity, sincere effort, and yet a quiet fatigue beneath it all. What if the renewal we long for does not begin with new methods or better messages but with a renewed center?

We are inviting churches and the leaders who serve them to intentionally re-center their life, and their life together, around Jesus Christ through simple, formative practices:

  • fresh recognitionof the presence of our Lord and Svior Jesus the Christ
  • prayer that listens and asks
  • teaching that returns to Jesus Himself
  • worship that glorifies Christ rather than impresses people
  • the Lord’s Table practiced often and unhurried
  • leadership shaped by servanthood
  • and lives of hospitality, mercy, and justice integrated with our witness.

This is not a campaign to complete or a checklist to master.
It is a posture to recover.

You are invited to engage this in whatever way fits your need and/or your unique context:

  • personally or corporately
  • quietly or publicly
    gradually or intentionally.

I am motivated by hope that 2026 becomes a year not of striving harder, but of abiding deeper—and discovering again that when Christ is truly at the center, everything else finds its proper place.

If this language resonates with something already stirring in you, consider this your invitation.

With gratitude for your faithfulness and hope for what God may yet do with us, among us, and through us,

  • This is really encouraging, Phil.

One thing we have learned is that it is important that people understand several foundational points.

    1.   That God knew them before the foundation of the world.   That they understand their name is written in heaven.
    2. That they really believe they have all the authority that Jesus gave them.
    3. That He made them triune spirits – body, soul and human spirit.
    4. That their human spirit sometimes are crushed or broken and could need healing or even waking up!
    5. That it is so important they know they can hear the voice of God today!
    6. That they recognize Jesus has given us a responsibility to bring in the Harvest.

Wondering if all these ring true for you as well.

Lots of salvations here in Austin and movement in the gen Z crowd.

    Blessings of Harvest Time!
