Pray FOR your friends!

Job 42...Praying for his friends. Job repented...God forgave and then God addressed Job's friends to reconcile with God and with Job. When they did God would wait on Job to pray for his friends. Job did, then God restored all to Job 2X. Reconciliation has actions attached that show we have received forgiveness.
It was clearly a challenge for Job to pray FOR his friends. Answer the challenge and pray for those who have disappointed you, abused you, become enemies of you and perhaps even of our God.

Friends pray for one another and friends never allow relationships to remain broken. Allow God to change our hearts.  PRAY!

Genesis 18;1-8  Abraham noticed he was having a visitation from the LORD.  An important part about building relationships comes with the "Breaking of Bread".  Abraham set out to keep these three with him longer by preparing a meal to share with them.  He wanted the presence of God to linger longer.  He seemed to know relationships take time and the relationship with the LORD is no different.  I desire to lounger longer in His presence so as to know His peace, His joy, His love, etc. ...for me.

Abraham became aware of the blessing to come upon Sarah.  He became burdened for the city of Sodom.  He became aware of the activity of God.  All while lingering in the LORD's presence.  Notice Abraham did more listening than he did talking.  Linger with the LORD in His presence, linger longer and listen to what the Spirit is saying to His Churches.

In Genesis 18 We see Abraham visited by the LORD, three "men" Abraham recognized.  Quickly he prepared food for them.  They told him that Sarah would have a child by this time next year.  In verses 16-21 these who represent the LORD were leaving and stopped just far enough away so that Abraham could hear them speak about Sodom.  The three wanted Abraham to overhear so his heart would get in line with the heart of God.  Abraham began to intercede for Sodom vss 22-33.  God placed the city of Sodom on Abraham's heart.  What community has God p[laced on your heart to pray for, to intercede for them.  Jesus wept over Jerusalem (Luke 19:41).  Dear LORD, place on our hearts such a burden that we too might weep over our communities!
