Explore Your Focus, Passion, Concern, or Question
Where is your focus, passion, concern, or question about ministry?
You may have arrived at Reimagine.Network because one area of ministry feels stalled, strained, outdated, ineffective, fragmented, or spiritually underpowered.
- Maybe your concern is prayer.
- Maybe it is discipleship.
- Maybe it is evangelism, Scripture, church structure, leadership, mission, compassion, cities, or the future of ministry.
You do not need to know exactly what needs to change before you begin.
Start with the ministry area that has your attention, or
Start with the burden that will not leave you alone, or
Start with the question you keep asking.
Then follow that focus into a Reimagine pathway.
Why are we (or, why should we be) rethinking ministry?
Churches and ministry leaders often work harder at familiar practices without stopping to ask whether those practices are still producing biblical fruit.
We add programs. We improve communication. We recruit volunteers. We strengthen events. We adjust schedules.
But sometimes the deeper need is not merely to improve what already exists.
Sometimes we need to rethink the assumptions underneath our patterns.
To rethink ministry is not to reject faithfulness.
It is to ask whether our current ministry habits are still aligned with Christ, Scripture, mission, discipleship, prayer, compassion, and the Spirit’s leading.
Rethinking is not restlessness.
At its best, rethinking is repentance ("be transformed by the renewing of your mind"), discernment, renewal, and obedience.
Begin by (and continually come back to) ReCentering Christ
Before choosing a ministry focus, return to the center. Return Jesus to the center.
Ask:
- Is Christ praised in this ministry?
- Is Christ presiding over our decisions?
- Is Christ preceding us into mission?
- Is Christ present in our practices, relationships, and outcomes?
- Are we asking the questions Jesus would have us ask?
Every ministry pathway on Reimagine.Network should eventually return to this question: Is Christ truly at the center?

Use This With Your Team
This hub can help a pastor, staff team, board, ministry group, small group, or network ask:
- Where is our paramount ministry concern right now?
- What area of ministry needs fresh biblical examination?
- What are we doing because it is fruitful?
- What are we doing because it is familiar?
- Where have we confused activity with discipleship formation?
- Where do we need to ReCenter Christ before we redesign anything?
- Which pathway should we explore first?
A simple team exercise:
Step 1: Name the concern. What ministry area feels most urgent, unclear, or underdeveloped?
Step 2: Ask the question. What question does this concern raise?
Step 3: Choose the pathway. Which Reimagine pathway best fits the concern?
Step 4: Go deeper. Read, discuss, pray, and identify one next act of obedience.

Curator’s Note
Rethink Ministry is not a collection of disconnected topics.
It is a map of ministry concerns.
Each pathway begins with a question, but the goal is not merely better thinking.
The goal is Spirit-led, Scripture-fed recalibration.
Choose the ministry area that has your attention.
Ask what needs to be reexamined.
Follow the pathway.
Do not hurry.
Invite others into prayer, discussion, planning, resourcing.
Return often to Christ as the center. {Every meeting of every ministry}
Start with your focus.
Follow the question.
ReCenter Christ.
Then reimagine the way forward.
