What Is the YouVersion Bible App?   If you've downloaded some apps on your smart phone, it’s likely you already have the YouVersion Bible app. You can find it in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. It’s also available on the Apple Watch, Amazon Alexa, among other places.    “YouVersion was founded by Bobby Gruenewald and Life.Church in 2008,” according to Wikipedia. “In April 2014, YouVersion released version 5 of the Bible App, which added features for community engagement and scripture discussion. . . .     “By November 2018, the YouVersion Bible App had been installed on over 345 million unique devices all over the world, offering 1,797 Bible versions in 1,247 languages. At the end of 2018, it was revealed that during that year on the app, 27.2 billion chapters of the Bible were read, 950 million Bible plan days had been completed, and 409 million Bible verses had been shared.”    What Are YouVersion Bible Plans?   Simply put, Bible plans on the YouVersion app give a small portion of Scripture to read each day along with devotional thoughts that can help readers study, understand, meditate on, and apply biblical truth to their life. Of course, getting into God's Word is central to who we are as Navigators!  “Bible Plans are available in the YouVersion Bible App and on Bible.com,” adds the YouVersion website.   What Is “Deeper Intimacy With God” All About?   Here’s how I describe it on the plan itself:    Do you long to move closer to God through Christ Jesus, ever toward the abiding Jesus spoke of in John 15? Prayer is the pathway! God is there, He cares, and He listens and responds to our prayers. This 12-day Bible reading and prayer plan will help you grow in intimacy with God, with incremental, inspirational steps to gently move you from “seeking the Lord” to “abiding with Him.”    In fact, in writing the Bible Reading Plan, I built upon content from The Pray!
