My heart is breaking. Lately, I have been hearing about several situations in a church where marriages are splitting up and as the spouses go off to do something to further destroy their marriage, they are proclaiming that "The Holy Spirit is leading me". When they are confronted with truth, they decide to pull their kids out of the youth group.
I can't help think that these folks are casualties of the lack of discipleship and the prevalence of cheap grace in many of our churches.
How would you respond to someone who is proclaiming, "God told me to..." or "The Holy Spirit is leading me..." when you know that they are doing something sinful?
