City Advance 2020 ~ Sharing Best Practices and the Stories of God at Work in Cities

PACIFIC NORTHWEST Leaders of citywide church unity movements in Oregon, Washington and Idaho have shared a unique journey together over the past twenty years. We’ve gathered annually to share best practices and stories to inspire more local expressions of church unity and collaboration (John 17). And this year, we’re meeting again! Save the date now for our 21st PNW City Advance: December 7-8, 2020! Where: Eugene-Springfield (hosted by the One Hope Network). Who: for leadership teams comprised of pastors, non-profit, marketplace, and prayer leaders. We ask each city team to invite at least one young leader (see ‘The Pre’ details below). Note: We are believing the Lord for an in-person gathering but want to keep each other’s health a top priority. Stay tuned for future communications. We couldn’t be more excited for our plenary speaker Dr. Nicole Martin! She is a powerful leader who will speak on "Scripture Engagement.” Come and hear Nicole speak to this question: How can a united, caring, and praying Body of Christ release the power of God's Word into their community? About Dr. Nicole Martin: Reverend Doctor Nicole Martin received her Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and Doctor of Ministry at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She is the Director of US Ministry at American Bible Society where she oversees scripture engagement work across the nation. Dr. Martin is married to Dr. Mark Martin. Last year we launched The Pre - a half-day training for young leaders who are championing collaboration in their cities. It was a highlight to see 30 young leaders from across the PNW build new friendships and get inspired about gospel movements. We’re excited to continue The Pre in 2020! Come experience The Pre in partnership with the PNW City Advance Consultation!   When: December 6 – 7 (note: this begins the night before the City Advance) Where: Eugene-Springfield (specific location: TBD) Who: young leaders (20s/30s) in church, non-profit, business, arts, and more who desire to see churches work collaboratively to positively impact their city. Note: If you are a veteran City Advance attendee who invites a young leader to participate in The Pre, there will be a portion of The Pre you are also able to attend! More details to come. Questions?
