Monday Morning Manna: Abuse or Use I just heard that child abuse was on a dramatic rise.
Somewhere there is a person planning to abuse a child. Stop them, Lord! Redirect their thinking for good and not evil.
Somewhere there is a group of people planning to traffic children. Put a detour in their path, Lord. Divert their paths into the arms of the authorities for the safety of the children.
Somewhere there are those who would use children to accomplish their sinful purposes. Re-channel their purposes, Lord, toward the positive and away from the negative.
Somewhere there are sinful people using sinful methods to abuse the young and use them to win their way. Remind them, Lord, that You and You alone are the One “who gives us the victory” (1 Corinthians 15:57).
Somewhere evil people are trying to use children to build their own kingdom. Block their plans, Lord. As my grandfather used to say, “Head ‘em off at the pass”. Allow what You said to happen - “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 19:14)” Let them be the “kingdom of heaven” and not the habitation of a hell-like existence. Even as you defeat the enemy, call out from the abused, children, whom You can use to serve in Your kingdom. As You “deliver . . . from the evil one.” remind all of us that “Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” (Matthew 6:18). Dr. Dan R.
