Why ReformatEVANGELISM?

To reformat evangelism is not to abandon the gospel.

It is to reexamine the formats, assumptions, language, practices, and habits that shape the way we bear witness to the gospel.

Evangelism needs reformatting when the method begins to obscure the message, when the approach feels more like pressure than presence, when the strategy is disconnected from compassion, or when the church treats witness as a program rather than a way of life.

ReformatEVANGELISM asks:

Are we proclaiming good news or defending a religious brand?
Are we sharing Christ or promoting church activity?
Are we listening before speaking?
Are we loving people as persons, not projects?
Are we connecting evangelism to discipleship, prayer, compassion, cities, and mission?
Are we helping everyday Christ-followers bear witness in natural, faithful ways?
Are we recovering evangelism as embodied good news?

Evangelism begins with Jesus.

Not merely Jesus as message content.

Not merely Jesus as a name at the end of a presentation.

Not merely Jesus as the reason we want people to attend church.

Evangelism begins and continues with Christ as Lord, Savior, King, Teacher, Friend of sinners, Sender, and Center.

Before redesigning an evangelism strategy, recenter Christ. Ask:

Is Christ praised in our witness?
Is Christ presiding over our outreach plans?
Is Christ preceding us into relationships, neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and cities?
Is Christ present in how we listen, love, speak, serve, and invite?
Are we helping people encounter the living Christ, or merely inviting them into religious activity?

Where has evangelism become disconnected from prayer?
Where has evangelism become disconnected from our actual neighborhoods and cities?
What kind of witness can multiply beyond staff, programs, buildings, and special events?

Evangelism culture is not built by campaigns alone.

It grows as leaders model love, teach gospel clarity, listen to neighbors, pray for the lost, serve with compassion, invite spiritual conversations, and equip the whole Body to live as credible witnesses to Christ.
